In the original novel, the tiara is supposed to lost its power/disappear when Wukong achieves Buddhahood.

But this game is based on the "heretic" novel of JttW where the Buddha actually tricks Wukong, so the tiara never disappears and he's still trapped by the Buddha/Heavenly host after finishing the journey.

开头紧箍咒可能不是唐僧用的,最初唐僧的紧箍咒也是关观音菩萨给他的,所以当孙悟空挑衅天庭的时候紧箍咒重新发挥了作用。

So far, it seems so, or Er Lang Shen and the Heavenly gang knows the sutra to harden the tiara.

Wukong is originally born from stone, so when he dies, he will return to being stone.

The other monkeys are the monkeys in Flower Fruit Mountain, basically the hometown/realm of Sun Wukong.

It seems the plot of this game is about collecting all the six body parts of Wukong that are stolen/given to the yaogai kings and reforms the Wukong.

egarding this issue, Wukong was put on a golden hoop because he had made a mistake before and caused chaos in the Heavenly Palace. After suppressing Wukong for 500 years, the Buddha was rescued by Tang Monk. Guanyin Bodhisattva was worried that Wukong's wildness was difficult to train, so she put a golden hoop on Wukong and passed on the Tightening Hoop Curse to Tang Monk to discipline him for disobedient behavior. Returning to the game, at the beginning, Wukong and Yang Jian transform into birds chasing and fighting. Wukong is suddenly trapped by a golden hoop in many ways. My understanding is that the golden hoop on Wukong's head was passed down to Tang Monk by Guanyin Bodhisattva, and not only Tang Monk knows how to use it. Other gods and Buddhas also know how to use it. During the fight, Yang Jian may have invited other immortals targeting Wukong.

Presumely only Buddha faction can use it i.e. Tang Sanzhang, Guanyin/Kannon, Buddha/Tathagatha, or holy beasts related to Buddha like the Golden bird.

Heavenly force like Er Lang Shen shouldn't be use it because it's basically a trade secret/power of Buddha (Tathagata).

alright so guanyin showed how to use the relic to the gods, but how could the descendend one also have powers and put the staff in his ear?

the monkey of destiny (mute MC) is basically one of wukong "clone" notice he turned to a fur when teleporting, just like when we used that pluck of many clone skill.. a back up in case main body died..
many NPC commented how our MC is a spitting image of wukong

To be honest, this headband at the beginning CG in the game is not existing, it is just a symbolism means sun wukong still being held. So he wants to challenge the heaven.

I don't think this game will follow exact the story of "Journey To The West". It might be just based on original, but with new creations. Although I just played a little in the beginning, I can tell it is a game journey after "Journey To The West". The player of the Monkey is the Selected One to re-create the glory of Wu Kong and recall all of his, maybe memories, body parts, skills or somethings. Anyway, keep playing might find the truth.

Also, the staff (which can you can customize) carried by the Destined One is not the real Sea Needle staff the real one is carried by Broken Shell Wukong.

The METAL headband, Jin-Gu ( a crown sized metal hoop in fact), in the original novel, is actually used as a punishment whenever Sanzang views Wukong has done things improper. It works by tightening and squeezing the head of Wukong, causing a headache, and that is why the headband is called Jin-Gu: Tightening-Hoop.
