Old rattle-drum quest bugged?

So I was able to use the drum in one place (screen turning black and white and the prompt 'use' being shown) but not able to use it in two others, including the well with the kid. I don't know what to do to complete the quest.

Weird. I was just doing this quest and everything worked fine.

Edit: the bug is that you have to move forward enough to trigger the button prompt not just the Use prompt. It worked after I got that

I'm having the same issue. Was able to use the drum in the 1st location but can't see any prompt (nor screen effect) in the 2nd location, near the well.

Same here, worked in first location, but not at the well...

Is the well the second location? I thought it was the last... Maybe you have to find the other one first...

The well is the last location, you can not do the well until you go probably to the broken village by the father son fight. I won't ruin why the well is the last location but there is a story reason.

The well interaction can only happen if you triggered the other locations.

Another one is in the village.

Yeah, figured out that I had activated only one prior location. Activated the 2nd one and the well triggered.
