Most probably....The devs only deny it because they don't want to admit they were inspired by From Soft.... which is a Japanese company.
I still like this game xD
But they become easier.
Let me explain
When I fought the tiger in chapter 2 I died 15 times. Then I decided to play only defensively and dodge everything. The time I beat him he didn't get me once.
All bosses after that felt much easier because I wasn't attacking blindly.
Then along chapter 4 I finally understood what "seeing through" attacks meant. And the game suddenly dropped a difficulty again.
And in chapter 5 I started using magic more. Found ways to abuse mist step and immobilize. Mist step is actually very overpowered. And immobilize as a defensive tool is extremely strong.
Pluck of many (shadowclones) can cast immobilize as well... which makes nearly every boss fight super easy xD
The bosses are getting harder
But at the same time, they're getting much easier because you grow as well.
I frustrate easily so I'm staying away from souls games and soulslike games..... normally.
But yeah... I'm playing black myth because I'm chinese -_-
Still... I find it manageable.
Just keep at it. I also had a very hard time. But like one poster said, as we learn to play and get more skills it does become easier in a way as well. I admit I was slow to learn and did not even use those resoolute strike and skyfall combo till later in chapter 2 lol. It really made a difference in a lot of bosses.
lol. trash thread.
starwars jedi outcast is a soulslike. let that sink in.
I play tekken a lot xD
But it's not a game I'd recommend sane people ... hahaha
there's an entire ecosystem that makes a soulslike a soulslike, for example, beyond combat, the fact that you can rest at certain rest points, and in doing so, replenishes your health but also respawns all enemies in the zone.
combat style does not define what a souls like is.
there are souls like with firearm combat, some with melee only.
just stop yourself in your tracks.
"Souls" in souls-like refer to the "souls" mechanic, not the difficulty.
It's about acquiring "souls" to spend as XP or for items and lost upon death but recoverable.
Demon Souls is a Souls.
The Dark Souls are Souls.
Lie of P is a Souls. (Easy game)
Sekiro is not a Souls (as stated by FromSoft, it only shares action with the Souls)
Wukong is not very obviously not a Souls.
That should not be too difficult to understand but I know I tend to overestimate people.
