I feel like this game needs a map.

Does anyone else have any ideas or is it just me? The game is linear but very large and the scenarios are very similar. I feel like I've found myself going back to the same place several times. This is kind of taking away from my enjoyment. I'm still in the second chapter and, like, walking around the map a lot and losing isn't really my focus these days. Calm down, haters and idolaters, it was just a random discussion, no need to be rude and express your opinion about mine, I really wanted to clear up this doubt.

Exactly, and this is taking away my fun. It's like they made a big open world game, but it's also confusing and very similar. I find running around on the map really boring. If it's an action RPG, put a map in it and that's it.

Im conflicted because I do find myself getting lost, but im also enjoying the sense of discovery and exploration. Its a tough call whether a map would have improved the experience

Chapter 4 is a deep cavern with so much vertical design that I felt like I missed half the secrets because they want you to keep going down and I know I missed some alt paths.

While this was fun the first couple chapters, I feel I am missing crucial upgrades (mainly the seeds that increase your max hp/mana/stamina instantly) that the game is 10 times harder than it needs to be because I am missing the key upgrades for my char.

fyi the blue sealed doors in that area unlock after you kill the boss up top

You talking about chapter 3 with the prison cell seals? Because I did go back for that to complete the captain quest
