Which Stance did you guys focus on?

Hello everyone Just curious. Which Stance did you guys decided to mainly use as you progressed. I am now in Chapter 3. so far I have mainly used Smash stance since it seems to be very convenient to use especially its two bonus combo attack we can activate. I know pillar seems to be more for AoE. But am curious how effective people use other Stance like Thrust stance.

I just look at thrust stance and it does have some interesting mechanic especially when upgraded to give it some Iframe during its tactical retreat. Before I had a hard time using this stance since when I use tactical retreat I then get hit before I can activate the next combo which this Iframe really fixes.

Yea I love the two combo attack we can generate from it. But I think I will try to experiment with Thrust strike. I just notice the second combo attack we can do with it and it seems cool. Do not know how effective it is on bosses though.

I saw some streamers use pillar stance effectively on some bosses but yea I also so far been using smash stance haha. I cannot seem to time the other stances right. Like when I use pillar, before I can even go up the pole high enough to avoid their attack I get knocked down lol.

Sticking with smash for now will probably try thrust more when I get to a good exp grinding spot

Yea. I am beginning to have extra points to spread around now so might try and allocate points around to experiment haha.

Haven't ventured much out of smash yet tbh. That counter has become a core part of how I play but I'll have to try the others, I know the thrust has a counter too.

depends on different situations, i beat the Big Head with pillar stance, and beat the Tiger Vanguard with thrust stance. But smash is the best, i'm trying to practice the counter attack(see through) and find it's useful, harmful and so cool. Best experience when you succeed in seeing through.

It's lacking combos with auto stance switches imho to go with others

Smash stance for bosses. Thrust stance for aerial enemies. Pillar stance for those "You can't hit me!" fellas, or the ones that gang up on you. So all 3.

Yea I think certain stances are suited for certain bosses. But am a bit slow in learning etc. haha. I did just use thrust now on a chapter 3 secret boss since he counters so fast on melee range such that even my resolute strike kills me when he hits me once. But am now slowly learning to use variety. On my next playthrough I will definitely try different style of combat.

Yea am interested in the counter of Thrust strike too.

I had 0 points in stance and beat the game very easily. Using stances in boss fights are a bait

Smash and Thrust for me. Pillar felt too niche to really use all the time.

Agree. I know pillar is meant for those mobs and bosses that does a lot of stuff on the ground so that we can stay safe up top but I cannot seem to time it right haha
