White clad Noble is a little uhhh.
So he face tanks out blindingly fast attack combos with extreme hyper mobility to leap away from my return attacks. I can't parry or prefect dodge and interrupt to turn his aggression against him nor can I use the in combo counter because neither that interrupts him resulting a trade.

What am I missing? This is looking like I have to pancake my game play strategy and ignore a majority of my kit because he just does what ever he want's. Gotta be a way to force him to heed me and slow his roll.

(edit) Alright I got him. I just put my forehead forward and let him go off like an angry toddler. Then charged heavy's while he was busy picking collecting what was left of his ankles. Shout out the animation quality of this game, fast as all hell but fluid and still readable.

It's unfortunate seeing bosses like this still. Sister Friede from DS3 accomplished high aggression and hyper mobility without blanket hyper armor. Friede has to actually strategies and fight ageist you. This guy may as well have just stuck his weapon out and spun on his heel.

Wish I could have swished by gourd at him after the fight, didn't even upgrade it, wanted to hold out for the next one.

My recommendation for this boss (both phases)...

Keep your distance and learn his charge moves... They are easy to doge and leave him open to be attacked for a good chunk of time. This boss is best beat by playing defensively.

This boss becomes much more dangerous if you aggressively try to approach him rather then let him try to approach you.

For his second phase, his attacks are FAR less combo-ie and just tend to have a wide AOE. So it almost easier then the first phase because he doesn't link as many attacks together at one time.

Are you on the first phase or the second? Make sure to use your spells immediately at the beginning and upgrade your gourd

Thanks for the tip ! Was grinding my teeth on this boss, his light attack combo is endless and his medium attack + water ripple are both super hard to dodge.
However with this strat it was an easy first try.

I just installed WeMod and tweaked the damage output for this guy.

Got to chapter 2, and I see no way I would get anywhere in this game without WeMod, or even remotely enjoy a single minute of it.

I even bought a nearly €200 xbox 'elite' controller, just to see if that make the game more manageable.

It changed nothing.

There are no words, I believe, for how badly I do at this game - it's in a sense fascinating, especially when you a/c for the number of people - somewhat dubiously - claiming everything is 'easy'.

Damage-sponge basic enemies in Chapter 2, with a multi-headed rat-thing that takes an age to kill - and then explodes to cheap-shot you, if you don't know in advance.

I opened the doors of some place, and in rushed 5 tough-as-nails 'thrash mobs' (supposedly), and even with the damage multiplier, I was annihilated.

No, it's for me, this game. I played GOW and thought that was the right level of challenge for these kinda mindless 'beat em up' games. I found that entertaining. But constantly being ripped up by everything and anything in this game?

As in, I thought this was gonna be GOW level difficulty - it's only that when you install WeWod and tweak 2 key stats: damage multiplier and damage reduction.

White Clad Noble is definitely a broken boss. Even when you get the movements down he still has really quick, cheap and pretty damaging AoE moves. On top of that the guy can jump back and attack you from the edge of the battlefield. There's challenging and then there's bs bosses like him.

He's definitely a skill check boss. Kicked my butt for almost 3 play sessions over 3 days.
Finally beat him, and was surprised to find myself running through the next few boss's with little issue.

So don't sweat it. A LOT of people had trouble with Snek dude. lol

I really want to have beaten him... I am getting a bit frustrated. still like the game. but heck, I want to move on

im not even an action game guy, the only action game played before this game is monster hunter series, and i use ranged weapon 50% of the time. this game is slightly different, more like a music rhythm game, u dont spam attack or dodge buttons. u dance with boss and attack them in between their combo gaps.

i just recorded my 2nd attempt on chapter 1 after i learned how to use resolute counterflow
im still an average player miss my timing and attempt to do extra hit here and there XD
