4090 bad performance
I have a 4090 and the game is running poorly. I decided to put it aside for now until it’s better optimized. With the recommended settings—cinematic, ray tracing high, FG on—in the first chapter, it was okay at 70-80 fps. In the second, it struggled with 60, and by the third, I was down to 55 fps. Without FG, I’m getting 45. Honestly, these seem like poor performance results. Plus, the game doesn’t even look that good.

Too hard to run game, gotta wait for 5090 a few more months to get decent performance. I will definetly upgrade then 4090 is getting old

on 4k? I'm getting 90fps avg on very high no FG and no ray tracing though on 1440p with a 4070 super.

Which chapter do you have this isuse with? I am at chapter 3 and not a single problem so far, always 100+ fps. Have you checked how much your GPU and CPU are utilised when you play?

Might be something going on with your PC or your settings then, as I am on a 4090 but I am using Hardware Unboxed optimal settings because I wanted max ray tracing and I have limited/locked my FPS to 90 FPS @4k as I would rather a consistent moderate FPS than it wildly varying and feeling inconsistent.

I could not maintain a good feeling FPS with full ray tracing until I compromised with the Hardware Unboxed optimised settings and now it runs very well and I cannot notice any visual compromise

I solved the issue. The problem was that I had a mod that allowed me to play in 32:9, while the game only officially supports 21:9 and 16:9. If I play in 21:9 with RT high, cinematic settings, and DLSS at 75, I get around 70-90 fps, which seems okay to me. But I still think the game looks mediocre.

I have the same setup, 32:9 screen and 4090. Is also use the mod for 32:9. So after deleting the mod the fps went up for you? Isn't it annoying to play with black bars?

If you have the mods automatically will be 32:9. If you want to play 21:9 you can select it and you don’t have to delete the mod. Right now is playable after the last update you have FG option.

Don't worry my friend, the reason I'm here is because I have the same issue, I have a 10k USD worth machine, not that I'm bragging but my machine struggle with chapter 4 as well! what's with chapter 4 anyway?

This is a lie.

i got a 4090 and have 0 problems.
FPS between 70-100, never below. in some areas stable 120 FPS
cinema / DLSS 60 (4096x2160) / RT Max + FG

Cyberpunk with PT on Psycho => 70-85 FPS

Yes, you seems to have a suitable CPU to let your 4090 work.

Pathtracing and framegeneration uses a lot CPU mojo too, so I think OP is a classic: 4090 on a 'old' CPU

You lose the right to complain about performance after supporting a Denuvo title. You brought this upon yourself:steamthumbsup:

I run this on a 4090 at 4k also maxed out and im always above 100+ fps bro. I think you might have a bottleneck somewhere holding your performance back. I have a 13900k 64gb DDR5 6000 990 pro m.2 not sure if that helps or not.
