The constrol scheme is entirely different more like DMC/Bayonetta they even share mechanics like perfect dodges and dodging not interruping combo strings.
You don't lose anything when you die
There is no stats to level up like in souls jsu HP/stamina and mana.
Enemies don't drop gear you can equip and upgrade.
You can dodge in the middle of attacking.
Why even ccall it souls-like just because it's hard and you get limited heals?
Healing, checkpoints, linear progression, and hard bosses are not things exclusive to souls games or the "souls-like genre".
Also i am not sure what souls game i would call "linear".
