Game is just...OK

So far, the story is non-existent. Boss fights aren't memorable. It's extremely linear but the combat is fun. The graphics, however, are amazing.

This game is all show, and little substance. This game pretty much copied everything from NIOH 2. Everything from transforming, the shrine waypoints, the boss fights, the combat, etc.

The story is there in the journal. You have to piece them together, like dark souls, which is unfortunately not a good thing for many people.

dark souls story i can figure out. This game, i'm in an endlessly repetitive forest fighting random creatures....

The graphics is your usual UE5 fare. If anything, the game is just another advertisement of the engine. And yes, why would you expect anything but a blatant rip-off from a game made in China is beyond me.

Journey to the west is a story from the 16th century from a totaly not-western culture.
Which means.... cultural and time conflict.

Even if you were to dive into every nook and crannies of Journey to the West, you wouldn't get a lore that comes close to elden ring or other modern created worlds.
Even Final Fantasy 7 has a deeper lore than that.

The black myth about it (non canon) is all there is. It's fanfiction.
