scorpionlord disappeared chapter 4

he just don't spawn after i died while fighting him, is it intended ? can i make him come back ? i need his tail for a weapon, only did the daoist in the area

I'm looking for this answer too, not only that but the npc at petalfall hamlet dissapeared for my quest, although the fast travel menu says he is still there.

Same issue. I went back to the shrine to create some medicines and when I came back to fight him he was gone.

Update: Verifying Integrity of files worked to fix it!

i beated daoist mi so maybe it lock me from encountering him again ???

If you travel out of the region and travel back, he'll come back. At least he did for me. I went to the zodiac village and then went back. He showed up again. However if you engage the area boss at the end of purple cloud mountain, without beating the scorpionlord, you will lose access to the Scorpoinlord fight.

Kill the scorpionlord first in the boss fight

When I fought him and died I just went around doing everything else I could and then found a npc that asked me to kill his former allies. When you do that mission there’s a boss fight at the end and the scorpion lord pops up and helps you fight the creature. You could kill him while they’re fighting or kill that creature first and then him

in my case I accidentally trigger the last boss fight "The Duskveil", I died and go back to see the "Scorpionlord" and it isn't spawning. So i just head back to the last boss area, and halfway the fight, the "Scorpionlord" spawns on the arena and fight the last boss with us, you can damage both of them. But you wont get any loot from the Scorpionlord. You need to fight it before triggering the last boss fight or it will never spawn.

I found this on reddit worked for me I was able to roll-back my save to before encountering Duskveil !!

He is underground he reappears when you get closer (If you aren't doing that) if not then it is bugged.

enter and exit transformation spell right besides where he is supposed to pop out of the ground
if it doesnt work, use incense talisman to reset and try again

I went to title screen and came back and that fixed it.
