What is wrong with the input?

Why is the input so consistently inconsistent? I understand you get staggered and can't do anything apart from taking damage but there are times when you are not even hit and inputs DO NOT connect. This is so bad implementation.

It pisses me off. I'll press the healing button and nothing happens, then I try spamming it just to make it work and my guy ends up drinking multiple times in a row.

I had that problem too MANY TIMES. It has some type of input lag, where you hit a button and half a second to a second later, actually starts the animations. And, sometimes, you push a button and NOTHING happens. In combat or not. This happens a lot with the healing button and with the strong attack (jump + strong attack works once every full moon for me...). And yes, you push the healing, he does nothing, so you push it again, and then you see him drinking twice in a row...

The third attack in the light attack combo is a 1 second long animation and anytime you try to dodge during light attack combos and it doesn't work it's probably because of this.

you can get a skill that lets you doge when using light attack combo that cannot be interrupted

This game definitely has some issues with how it processes & queues players input. Button mashing also causes severe input lag. But playing ‘calmly’ doesn’t work as this game often requires quick dodges in succession. There’s definitely something to be optimised but I think the devs likely tested this game using keyboard & mouse (controllers/gamepads/consoles) aren’t popular in China in general.

Definitely one of the weakest and most frustrating aspect of an otherwise good game. Wait till you get to Yellow Loong secret boss. You’ll truly understand frustration of this game’s inconsistent input lag and register
