See trough enemies?
Hi,

What does it mean "See trough enemies" which Staff-Holding grants that?

Thanks.

Basically, that is a parry attack...

If you are in the middle of a light combo and you use a strong attack right as you are about to get it while ALSO having a focus pointed banked, you will counter the attack, take no damage, and deal extra damage.

See through enemies is suppose to mean that you countered their attack, you see through their next move

Thanks, but that is difficult to trigger intentionally, isn't it?

Not really, because a large port of this game is spent using fast attack combos, and the strong attack cancels the animation of nearly all points in the fast attack combo. So really you only need to worry about hitting strong attack right as you are about to get hit, most likely you are already in the middle of a fast attack combo anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't say it's easy to trigger, but nor is it extremely difficult.

To add on to this there is something you'll get automatically from playing through the game pretty early that seems to increase the window for the " see through enemies " parry to succeed from what I've noticed before and after I got the item

The Fuming Ears Relic has the " All Ears " ability that extends the invincibility of the first part of Varied Combo and has made seeing through enemies noticeably a bit easier

This is Wukongs parry mechanic, yes, but I am having difficulty activating the ability consistently. Sometimes it works, other times, no, even though I am sure I have the timing right, but probably not. I became a parry god in DS, but only after practicing a lot. So I am sure it is just a timing thing. I just wish I could get to that point already, as the see through system seems so essential, and fun.

I mean, if it was a little easier to successfully trigger the resolute counterflow, the game would be too easy, considering the way you can equip yourself in order to almost always have focus points available, you could basically "see through" any attack, and punish every boss severely. I hope I get to that point eventually.

But seriously, does the timing window need to be patched? Because, I am usually really good at stuff like that, perfect dodging, deflects and parry-riposte type things, but I am seriously having a very hard time to consecutively doing it successfully in this game. So it makes me wonder if something might be off...
