In-game sexism?

I'm worried that the game may contain sexism since IGN says the developer is sexist. Is it safe to play this while my wife or girlfriend are in the room?

IGN is not trustworthy, they proved time and time again that they make ♥♥♥♥ up to stir up controversies in order to stay relevant. At this point, they are not better than a low life YT drama channel, making things up for clout.

These actions have nothing to do with discrimination; instead, they're about the challenges and choices within this background setting. The game's world view and story are adapted from the famous Chinese novel "Journey to the West". The main characters in the original work are all "monks" and thus male. For the rest, whether they are immortals, monsters or ordinary people, gender is not deliberately emphasized. The genders of the characters are rationally constructed according to the needs of the story. In both the original novel and the game, most monsters (and villains) are ugly. It seems that you are only quoting out of context and deliberately emphasizing the ugly female monsters while ignoring the much greater number of male monsters. If you have such a misunderstanding just because you don't understand the settings well, then I suggest you read "Journey to the West" first (at least you should roughly understand the general background of this book). But if you just want to define "Black Myth: Wukong" as a game that can be criticized arbitrarily, then perhaps you can find even more "reasonable" reasons to criticize this game.
