Report a translation problem
If you don't time it right you still take damage (though it's reduced).
It means to active the heavy attack just when you're about to get hit. Then you don't receive damagr
If you time it right, you will counter, your weapon will glow, and you won't take any damage. If the timing is messed up you will eat the hit and take reduced damage.
You also have to make sure you have a focus point stored or the counter won't activate even if you DO time it right.
