Use TSR & Frame Generation if you think your pc is not powerful enough

I got a 10700k + 3080 and couldn't use frame gen with dlss and my performance was not good... so i was not considering buying the game. Then i tried TSR + frame gen...

1440p
DLSS - no frame gen - very high
Average 46fps
Max 53
Mini 38
Low 5th 41fps

TSR - frame gen - very high
Average 71fps (+25fps)
Max 81fps (+28fps)
Mini 62fps (+24fps)
Low 5th 65fps (+24fps)

i found this incredible, thanks ue5... f you nvidia... now i'm considering buying the game :)

well i didnt tried fsr and not sure it got frame gen available for me, tsr was good enough, i plan to limit to 60fps anyway =)

71 FPS with frame gen is awful in most games. This is an action game, so almost the worst case scenario for that kind of result, since you do not want it to be sluggish; it could maybe work if weapon being used was already sluggish, but this staff is a pretty fast paced weapon.

I recommend you do not buy this game if this is how you plan to play it, it won't feel good and frame gen will be producing more artifacting than usual (due to low base FPS).

I agree, but bro, OP is getting 71 FPS with Framegen ON! This is garbage level of performance for framegen. Essentially unplayable unless OP is used to the console 30 FPS thing, then he will feel at home.

i'm old yes, but 60fps will be enough for me on this game.
if i could have 120fps at 4k i would gladly do, i'm just saying that people with old hardware can play the game at good settings at least with tsr + fg.

DLSS with Decoupled FSR3.1 FG is the way to go. Image quality is not good with the other upscalers.

I wonder when the game will update FSR to version 3.1 that includes decoupled FG, but at present the game is using FSR 3.0... unless I am wrong which would mean the game is artificially limiting FSR frame gen to TSR and not DLSS.

If I were to put on a tinfoil hat, Nvidia sponsored the game thus wanting you to upgrade your GPU. Certainly, having FG with DLSS and not having an RTX 40 series does not make Nvidia happy lol.
