If you can't get past a boss in 100 tries, you need to improve your stats and skills. Just farm mobs. It's the tried and true method of getting better prepared in thousands of ARPG games.
Gatekeeping is exactly what you are doing here.
I personally think you rob yourself of the experience and feeling of satisfaction from finally overcoming difficult bosses but if this guy wants to cheat it so he (or she?) can enjoy the game, who are you or I to tell them how to play it?
I hate gatekeeping, it annoys the hell outta me and I faced that kind of thing when I stared souls-like games with elitists who told me I should not play with mouse/KB and not search online for help if I get stuck and so on and it just makes the souls-like community seem like a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
