I defeated the first giant blue baby monk(???) And it told me that I couldn't take it souls. Now I got the blessed gourd but the souls is gone.

Yes, the shrine, sorry I have Souls brainrot. You might have to wait until a certain boss, but it will be available for you soon. You'll reach a point where, once at a shrine, you can 'retrieve' any spirits you had previously found but couldn't absorb. I had the same problem yesterday.

Nice! I had lot of fun playing. Not sure if I will ask for a refund or not. But I can certainly recommend this game for people that like the genre and story.
