Am I the only one? This game looks... bad.
Overwhelmingly positive reviews and I cant find anyone mentioning this but the game just looks bad - no matter what settings i use its flickering and shimmering like crazy. There is artefacts all around my character whenever i move he *sparkles*

I've tried a bunch of different settings and funnily enough the game looks best when the graphics are set as low as possible and RTX on.

Im playing 3440x1440p on a 3080 - the FPS is fine just everything looks overly sharpened to the point of distraction,

I think it looks alright but the lighting is werid. Dark corners are too dark and bright areas too bright. Changing settings does not really seem to help.
Set it all to Very High, 65% Resolution Scale thing, and restart the game. It's the best u can do really for visually looking good and clear. The shadows n brightness is always very dark and ugly in some parts though (very dodgy system with how the lighting changes based on distance, very poorly done by the devs).

Also i have an RTX 4070 n play in 1080p >.> struggling to get 80fps

Well i think i found setting that work but the way the lighting works really seems to be more a problem of the game. Which actually is not really uncommon tho. I had this issue in many games already.
You can remove sharpening using this tool:
https://github.com/Lyall/WukongTweak

Has other features too such as disable vignette, CA, etc.
looks perfect on my OLED.
I have a 4090 with Extreme Graphics, Raytracing enabled, etc. and I didnt realize the shimmering around the character as much until I move the camera around him. But also seems to depend on the area. I dont have this heavy shimmer everytime. Didnt try the mentioned tools yet. Using a OLED with AutoHDR and 3440x1440 resolution. Its better as others mentioned to disable Motion Blur and Camera Shakes.

Go back to console peasant, or learn to PC. Turn off motion blur, turn off ray tracing, lower vegetation, view distance and hair quality to medium. Don't use frame generation crap because it introduces latency and stuttering. Basically the same damn setting adjustments as every other game. Stay out of yer BIOS, disable v-sync, don't screw around with overclocking anything like GPU, RAM (other than 1-click XMP profile etc), don't cap frames, don't download some bullcrap patch some other guy recommended on some other post, don't reformat your hard drive or re-install Windows, don't play with command lines or modify .ini files. ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Must be something your end, this game runs smooth and looks absolutely stunning and I'm playing at 3840x2160, I reckon it's the low resolutions that are giving you the problems and i'm using a 3090 though and believe it could also be your GPU not having enough memory since I read it requires at least 16gb to run smoothly. Not knocking you or your hardware but just trying to help since i have no problems running this game at max settings

Yup. Most of the time, half of the screen is way too bright and the other half way too dark. All the objects are overly sharp, everything that moves flickers and my character has this aura of blurness all around him. There is some dust particles - or what is it - flying all over and it's leaving behind trays of pixelation. Sometimes, objects are just straight up missing textures.
Seriously, the game looks like it jump out from PS2. These problems occurs both on my machine and on GeForce NOW Ultimate.
If you struggle with too bright\dark plus forced eye adaptation garbage like me you can do the following with the Engine.ini file - add
r.DynamicGlobalIlluminationMethod=0
its like night and day
***addition***
it basically forcefully disables Lumen ingame

In my experience this is from having automotion technology enabled on my TV. I see no artifacts on my Samsung in game mode with no automotion plus enabled.

I'm playing on a 4090 rig and the game runs ok for me? I don't think I've noticed any major issues, just started act 3 though, so maybe it gets worse later?

"im playing this game on the best card on the market, I havent noticed many issues" no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥.

4060 ti, 1080p, game is very /overly detailed.

its the first game where I wish I had a bigger monitor and GPU to enjoy all the detail.

imagine being such a moron you dont know how to configure your pc/settings LMAO
The game doesn't look "bad", but it doesn't look "good" either.
Considering how demanding it is, the graphics feel a bit average. It's not going to blow you mind away like RDR2 did when it first came out on PC with ultra settings (I remember playing it and I couldn't believe my eyes at first).

Wukong is more of a "meh, it looks okay" kind of game and It looks like any other UE4-UE5 games to come out lately. People who say it's the most beautiful game they've ever seen just cant handle their own emotions so this has the best graphics and gameplay and story to ever come out in gaming history.
For the art design alone its one of the most beautiful game Ive ever seen
