Im 100% elden ring and dlc and still find this game hard like some points
You cannot cancel attack animations with a dodge. The dodge happens after the animation (SUPER ANNOYING)
The healing animation is way too long. You heal towards the end of the animation which is quite frustrating
Also, not much variety, at last at the beginning. Just a button to dodge, no block or parry or anything else. Freeze the enemy and hit it with all you have, then transform and do all the damage you can, then dodge doing a hit here and there, cause you do very little damage, and wait for the cooldowns.
Lies of P, Stellar Blade and Wo Long were all a lot more varied in both the maps, enemies, and especially on combat.
I came her to ask if this was a souls like. Why in the heck is everything these days souls like. I hate souls like.
looks 3d but plays like a platformer
Ive quit playing for now because even after dumping 15-20 points into many attributes and 4+ hours, I cant even come close to beating any boss and the game is becoming boring. They hit you through solid rocks and dodge doesnt seem to have tight timing, like in other games. Im pretty frustrated with this honestly.
Edit: I meant not the VERY first boss (where you learn the freeze spell), but the first 3 bosses in the very next area. The wolf, guy with flame swords, and baby head. They are all SO much higher powered than me, its not fun anymore.
The recent two jedi souls likes are considerably easier than Wukong has been so far. I turned the difficulty up on both those games. They share similarities but if Jedi was "just right" for you Wukong will probably feel more difficult.
That said it's a great game so far and I'm enjoying it.
Elden ring is actually one of the easier FromSoft titles so I think Wukong may not be a good choice for you if you did not like ER. BMW has more in common with Bloodborne and Sekiro than it does Elden ring if you ask me.
