so a few things are happening here !

Currently young people are following a trend of back lashing against the woke agenda kinda becoming and repeating exactly what the woke agenda did lol and when current woke media journalist lashed out at Wukong`s dev team they instantly won the support of all the angry young people and they instantly pre orderd and hyped the game to prove a point !

Other then that kinda looks ok and is something the industry needs new dev teams bringing great ideas and stories to life as the current top triple A studios are really really bad!

Lies of P is another title i can think of from a newer company that in my opinion is straight up better then some of the souls games and should push the genre to become better!

so all up my conclusion would be other then performance on your chosen platform do not listen to hype dont care about trends and others and there hidden agendas do not listen to youtubers and journalists ! look at games and draw you own conclusions

does the story interest you ? does the game play look like it could be fun? while watching a trailer or small clip are you wisp`d away to a magically fantasy land where you can forget your mortal troubles for a moment?

If so this might be a game for you at your current time in life.

if not then most likely its not for you !

Just pure passion anyone has when we see a good art piece: a game excels in aesthetics, gameplay, audio, storyline, character building and etc., then carries out the core of the story in reality, aka not bending to evils. So why not the hype?

Tbh outside of the volumetric smoke and clouds, it isn't that visually impressive compared to many titles that released in the past few years. I'd put it down to it not being in your face preachy or written by millennial Joss Whedon and Marvel fans.

Game is fun so far, it's in a genre I like in a setting I rarely get to play games in. The game is very good looking for sure but like... I play ASCII games too.

Fake hype. Game lost 90% of its player base in 10 hrs. It took Sekiro 2 months to drop 90% of it playerbase.
