I never had one signle issue with games protected by Denuvo at all. There might be scencarios it might cause problems but those are probably also somewhat unrealistic problems, specially in 2024.
Of course if it cause major problem for majority of player base it should be reconsidered. But realistically how could it cause problem.
Your profile says 0 games owned, it means nothing to me. you might aswell own 300+ games you bought directly on steam. Or you could have gotten all games in giveaways etc... Many variables. I'd say it's kind of a weak argument like that someone mentioning K/D, it dont always matter.
It would be nice if you could spesify common problems with Denuvo though, so i can see your side of the DRM issue.
Got a source for that ridiculous claim buddy? Because unlike you, big videogame corporations are not following ignorant opinions or misguided feeliings. They literally have entire financial teams dedicated to maxime their profits and if companies keep using Denuvo is because it actually works.
Gamers are absolutely deluded, thinking their little echo chambers (whether is steam forums, 4chan, reddit, twitter, or whatever obnoxious youtubers they follow) are representative of everyone else.
Just like most people didnt give a single ♥♥♥♥ about Sony forcing a psn account in order to play their games despite the tantrum people made on social media, judging by how Helldivers 2 didnt lose too many players and Ghost of Tsushima was a massive success; most gamers dont even know about Denuvo and of those who know most dont give a ♥♥♥♥.
And why doesn't this matter as an arguement? It most definitley is an arguement against you saying I want to pirate this game - it's cold hard evidence I do not. I buy games, many games. Probably too much, since i'l likely never even play them all.
I got no source, hence why I said "most likely". Do you have evidence to say i'm wrong about this? Maybe when people were less aware of Denuvo then it worked, but more and more people experience it's issues firsthand or read about them.
There's a reason Denuvo got bad rep. And no, it's not pirates who gave it that.
"I never had any issues" is small consolation to the people who are having issues, you know? You don't, well good for you. How does that help those people?
It's like saying hey, I was never robbed by criminals before... Never had this problem! So, all these people complaining about being robbed, they just lying 'cus they wanna get some kind of compensation yeah? About the same logic in this arguement as in yours.
If Denuvo worked without the online requirement and without technical issues.. There wouldn't be a problem. But it can't work without that online component now can it? That on it's own is a big problem that limits our freedom to play the game we buy anywhere, anytime we want.
If i'm going somewhere I got no internet there, but I wanna play this game in my free time. No can do, Denuvo overlords say: no internet, no game. But it's a single player game that doesn't require internet on it's own! Denuvo overlords say: That's rough buddy, now go get some internet or no game for you.
Not everywhere in the world has steady constant internet connection. Some places don't.
Btw you can use steam offline mode forever, so steam doesn't require you to always be online. But Denuvo does.
Denuvo is not affecting performance all that much.

Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo
