They are the same character, but Goku is not from LOL

Its Sun Wukong, Monkey King, the Chinese religious figure, which was inspired from the ancient Hindu mythical figure Hanuman. Goku from dragonball is inspired from Sun Wukong.

They all come from Chinese folk myths and legends. The most representative is the mythological novel "Journey to the West"

Just like "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Prison Redemption" is not the same as "The Shawshank Redemption", the latter is just an adaptation
