Does this game support DirectStorage?

The PC requirements show that the game still supports HDD, and it's not a good sign when other latest AAA games have all embraced SSD. Backward compatibility with HDD often causes a lot of stuttering issues in PC games. That little fine print really gives me pause - Should I wait for performance reviews before I consider ordering? Will there be a playable demo before releasing?

they recommend ssd, and only support hdd,so maybe it will not be a big problem.

I don't believe it's a significant issue. While BG3 recommends an SSD, it still allows for HDD acceleration settings. Of course, your decision to wait and observe is quite sensible. Additionally, the gourd gifted with the game pre-order can be acquired in-game.
