Why are people mad all of a sudden? DENOVO?

I have no idea what DENOVO is or what it does. Anyone can shed some light on this? Many people are losing their minds because of this, i keep seeing DENOVO all over the place.

This game has to succeed or i will be F**king sad, im even considering buying the collectors edition. I have been waiting for this for years, i even upgraded my PC for it! - it has to succeed....It cannot choke like this.

Denuvo is a controversial extra layer of DRM for games, it requires a first time online connection, and in some cases this is a periodical requirement. The big issue that people have is the notion that -if badly implemented-, can cause performance issues (see the RE8 video of Digital Foundry and denuvo below), this, paired with the online requirement, makes it so people develop a concern for the preservation of games that make use of this DRM.

DENUVO makes games perform like hot trash, requires internet connection phone homes and has victimized many otherwise great games. Ive had to refund enough games with this steaming garbage DRM to know not to ever buy anything thats ever touched it.

because denuvo is notorious for sucking and punishing paying players.

Never Buy Games Day one or worse PreOrder them.
always for wait for Honest Reviews & Performance Quality, dont get fooled by the trailers and Publisher footage, they always show you the best moments from it.
they added Denuvo to it so no Purchase until 1 year after many updates & improvement and of course DRMaleWare Removal at least.

Apart from that some publishers like to put game on Switch and/or PS4 while having denuvo on PC.
And on GamePass for $1.

The only real protection is always online. Protects from both "evil piratez" and paying customers alike.
