Gamepad support
I've read bad reviews (i suppose the top one in the store page) saying it didn't, so I'm wondering if between then and now it has been added.

there is partial controller support. You can move left and right with the D-Pad. In Wakeboard Mode you need to use the left joystick to maneuver left and right. I've used a 360 wired controller. I haven't used it up to now since it is used only for FPS games or any other games supporting gamepads.
I've been using my 360 pad and using the left stick in Mono mode works perfectly fine. Haven't tried any of the other mods so I can't speak for those, but I haven't had any issues so far with what i've played.

D-pad/ analog sticks and Start button work. Any other button does nothing for now no matter what key mapping you set. If you play just mono and wakeboard it plays fine, all other modes that require button presses require you to play with mouse. Keyboard key-mappings also don't fully work, so you MUST play with mouse for many modes that have any buttons needed.

I see, thanks.
Going to wait a bit more until that's properly implemented, as well as audioscrobbler integration.

Wow, three years later and same problem

I think there is only one mode that requires more than anlaogue stick; I can't remember the name of the mode but holding down a button creates a mirror ghost image of yourself for as long as you hold it down, when playing that mode I have to lean over my desk with gamepad in left hand, analogue stick in right thumb and right hand on mouse so that I can use the mouse's left button

I didn't know this game had a mapping option however since it apparently does not work you might be able to map simply using a mapper - a lifetime subscription to Pinnacle is usually $20 and probably in my top 10 of most useful PC software

Almost a thousand hours later into AS2, I'd say you really don't want to use a controller to play it, at least if you intend on getting any good at it, as your response time will be much lower than with a mouse (or, as a minority of players prefer it, keyboard arrows).

The only mode I found a controller to be better was audiosprint, which most people only play for the achievement and never touch again.
