the game is probably the same as you remember because all of the balance changes are slight number adjustments.. these devs lack the boldness to make crazy sweeping changes that'd actually shake the game up..

The state of the playerbase has continued to decline.

As a result the matchmaking experience has continued to worsen, making matches that are progressively more uneven even with time...

The leaver problem has evolved into a backfill problem where at times backfill won't fill spots.

So basically, just more and more super early death spiral signs, and of course, blizzard only continues to make things worse

The INVASION DLC is dead. Nobody plays. Let it go. During the Blizzcon nobody talks about the PVE either. But SKINS, we gonna get a bunch of new skins, events and crossovers.

Right NOW. Apex Legends is having a Final Fantasy Crossover. You gonna have to grind as hell for 4 free boxes and get lucky enough to unlock Cloud Sword in those loot boxes.

THE FINALS is a great game. You should try it. It became popular, it's different. No CHAT (you can't text) just Voice chat. It's okay. Give it a shoot.

STATE of OVERWATCH in general. It's an AVERAGE game. It's not for everybody. Overpriced skins, lackluster maps and gameplay. You keep countering stuff to slow enemies down, defend, or being more agressive. It gets very repetitive.

Dunno I still have an enjoyable experience with ow2..

Trolling in tf2 has nothing on ow2 trolling..

Only game I've ever played where people get punished for raging at trolls

Literally every problem stems from something that was implemented by blizzard to increase profitability...

Blizzard isn't going to change those things..

The comp rework is nothing more than then adjusting the system, to compensate for the fact the playerbase is getting worse at the game with time..

Winter wonderland is just a battlepass (500 credits) inside a battlepass (1000 credits)
in competitive you find a master hand (implying multiple people can recreate this action) who control 5 bots
in quickplay you find trolls and cheaters too.
Some unranked matches crashes at the minimum change
in competitive if one of two people argues and leaves the competitive, the match closes up
PVE servers are actually pretty dead at much you find people (2 players at maximum) who buy the invasion dlc only for unlock the soujorn vigilante skin (me included lmao)
Mauga has been nerfed to the ground
the owl rewards has been lost forever into the void, even if they reclaim and prove evidence like the hours of watched or etc, nope they get nothing but negligence.
the aim assist for consoles is still unremovable
the shop sells 1900 recolors skins of the blizzcon ones
not need to mention they selled the elf junkrat skin 1000 coins from ow1
but aleast i can bully people who doesnt know to play thier hero
and the final reward are well

The top 500 is a joke anyway, in reality there's like 100 people with the rest being alts. The best pharah player has 10+ alts on the leaderboard.

The enture ranked and matchmaking systems are jokes..

You can literally throw matches in qp to deflate your win rate, then take that deflated win rate into comp to manipulate matchmaking into giving you a edge..

Ow2 has one of the most exploitable ladders I've ever seen..

Want to fish for easy comp wins? Play in a 5top where everyone in it has artificially deflated their win rates..

And that's just a mild example, as I don't want to give away all my secrets..
