Remove counter switch hero
I havent played Ow1, but as soon as I play I realize that I cant play whatever I have the most fun of, and I cant get better with one hero cause people keep countering.

Monkey/moira require no aim,
Hitboxes are bigger than my FOV,

Idk how the game does get attention in this stage.

Esports in OW2, are you kiddin me?

No wonder the game die.

wait until you realize that not even pro's counter pick during matches, they just mirror match each other to whichever is the most meta composition.

I dont understand how people that switch even enjoy or think they deserve the rank they reach.

I find switching as the worst thing in the game, next is aiming and models size which head can be bigger than the body, together with how stupid aiming with some heros is.

It keep the skill ceiling in the game low, and harder heros are not rewarding.

Genji is much weaker than Soldier, while soldier is 1100 times easier.

I do rarely switch characters during the match..
If I choose a character to play, I want to play that character.
If I ever switch, then it's never gonna be for the reason to counter some other character. That would've made the game boring.

Blizzard originally wanted to remove the "Rock, Paper, Scissors" of Overwatch 1.

With the launch of Overwatch 2, our roster will expand to 35 heroes as Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko join the fight. As we build new heroes and balance the existing cast for our new 5v5 PvP experience, we have shifted our hero design approach to allow you to have an impact on your matches with a range of different heroes and strategies. This means reducing the presence of specific hard counters to heroes.

For example, in the original Overwatch—especially at higher skill levels—the strongest way to shut down a great enemy Tracer diving into your support line was to swap over to Cassidy. If that Cassidy player was effective enough, the Tracer could even feel a need to switch themselves to avoid that hard counter. While Overwatch 2 heroes will each have their own clear strengths and weaknesses, and some heroes will be more effective against others, we believe our game plays better and is more fun with fewer hard counters and a broader range of effective hero picks. A further benefit is having your personal favorite heroes be viable more often. That philosophy will be guiding us moving forward.

As for the projectile size changes...

Season 9 introduces global balance changes that affect every hero in the game. We're adjusting how the damage dealt is more consistent by increasing the projectile size while also increasing the health pools of all heroes, thereby keeping the time it takes to eliminate targets relatively the same. We also added a new passive for all heroes to regenerate their health when they step out of combat.
We are continuing to monitor all of the effects of the season nine changes. While we want to give some time for the changes to settle in, there are a few outliers that we’ll be touching in the near term. Expect finer tuning of the projectile size changes for a subset of heroes and some health adjustments. Accuracy numbers are meeting intentions but some are pushed a bit too far. Thanks for all the feedback on the patch so far. Excited to see how it continues to develop.

somehow we have widow and sombra counter widdow seems the devs team are talking non sence, they just remove CC and call it full solution for everything

oh play ball and doom who got reworked 999 times with need to be cc-ed to kill them

Even in overwatch 1 the people will never take your opinions as valid
Not for being evil and mean
they do that for the victory in the matches
Remember GOATS?
i still remember that.

Hero bans were temporarily added many years ago in OW1 and removed quickly after negative feedback. OW2 is more popular in AS than NA or EU. OW isn't dead, but its stagnating and slowly dying in some ways. The 100 million players claim and Steam player count spikes aren't indicative of the current overall population size or popularity.
