No Votekick? No Map Filters? Really?
Games from freaking 2005 have these features, yet its too hard for a multi-billion dollar company to implement? Is there reason why lobbies cant votekick people that are actively disrupting gameplay or griefing? Or a reason why I cant filter what maps I DO and DO NOT want to be placed in to where i queue for a match?

There is, actually, a reason.
Votekick would simply be abused by a toxic community, and map filters would practically ensure that no one will play Push and other unpopular modes.

Yes.
What's wrong with this, exactly?

Other than that the devs don't want that, since it'll highlight their failures? Nothing's wrong with that. But that'll never happen.

No weapon inspections
No map choosing
and probably instead of votekicking they are using report system to sunk every person the people doesnt like and fail in the process lmao.
Team Fortress 2 has had these features for way longer than Overwatch and it’s almost a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 17 years old.

Even indie games have these features and sometimes the entire dev team is 1 mofugga with an old pc.

funny enough vote kicking didn't officially exist in TF2 until years later, and was even missing from the update that added matchmaking and had to be brought back in because of the people blatantly cheating

and even now it's just used by cheater stacks and bots to kick legitimate players

Fair point. But it’s at least nice to have since if there’s enough normal players bots are quickly dealt with. Overwatch players would have to requeue or play with bots if they join a game with any bc of leaver penalties and lack of vote kick. Sure bots can vote kick but they have to actually win the vote and not every server is flooded with bots.

If there's one thing Blizzard has done right, it's not have a votekick system because the community itself is toxic and I can't imagine it'd ever be commonly used for good reasons.

It needs a voting system.

Too much waste of time by not having this system.
