Lagging When Using Emote Wheel?

Title says it, the game runs smooth as butter on max graphics but for some odd reason opening the emote wheel (holding C) and selecting anything causes it to lag, not to mention the character selection screen also lags.
Other then that tho, the same runs super smooth and no other issue besides that.
