But, really, if you love to play as Mercy, keep playing as Mercy. I absolutely don't care about what others play as as long as they do their support role.
There are Mercy players, and then there are Mercy players.
She might be one of the easiest to pick up because her tools are easy to understand and use, but to be a GOOD mercy and effective to your team takes significant skill.
In the right hands, Mercy can be the correct choice in many situations - comp included.
Yeah for sure, that why I was saying you need to know when you should play Mercy and when you shouldn't.
For reference I have over 400hrs on Mercy and am well aware of what planets need to be aligned to make her viable :)
She is hated due to her lack of utility. Yeah, as you say, she is powerful at healing, but utility, it's something else... She just has the attack buff people rarely think of using.
You don't need any kind of skill to press E and just... exist. Stand still and watch your allies HP goes up veeeery slowly.
But to be good at Lucio and be actually effective it does require skill and very good game sense.
It's the same for Mercy but for whatever reason, idiots keep trashing her and not Lucio
Doesn't really count as "existing" as Lucio vs "existing" as Mercy, you would just die at least ten times as fast as Lucio than Mercy.
