Actually no.
The EU put in place laws against loot boxes 'n all that.
So they changed it up.
The old system was far better.
Free loot every couple games.
Dupes? Money.
Can you buy money? Basically yes too. From dupes.
It was very free to play friendly.
But it did have that gambling side for people who whaled to get exactly what they wanted.
Skins should be sold on marketplace and tradable btw
(Dedicated servers and Workshop support must have also)
Overwatch 1: Earn lootboxes (for free) while playing the game. Don't got the skin you like? No problem you get coins for duplicates.
Overwatch 2: Pay the price of a AAA game to get a Skin pack...
same then bliz opened all my boxes without me knowing
TF2 even has a somewhat similar system, while you play, you are rewarded with random items, and I don't remember anyone saying they should stop receiving rewards for playing.
