Can we play OW1 on Steam?

Because I would really love to play the game I payed for, OW1. I do not wish to play OW2. Just how I like to play Battlefield 1 and not Battlefield 2042. Why can I play Battlefield 1 but but I cannot play OW1. I guess Ill go play Black Ops 3.

People here keep asking for ow 1 back, here's a workshop code for just that. A lot of people spout wanting to play ow 1 but truth is you'll struggle to find enough people to fill a lobby for more than a couple games.

But its not the same game, this is OW2 not OW1. How many games have been shut down to force you to play their second title? How many Call of Duty's or Battlefields (using as an example) can I play now? All of them. Why cant I play OW1?

Because blizzard wants money, they want it as a small indie company, they've said that themselves

i really wish we could play the game we paid $40 for op. truly sad that blizz killed the good game and released a worse version in its place.

An update involves it's better though. It's not the case here. Bringing OW1 back with OW2 characters would actually be an update.

yes this would be a struggle. But if OW1 existed it wouldnt.

would you try to make battlefield 2042 to run Battlefield 1, no you wouldn't because they are 2 separate games and exist on their own with their own player bases

Serious sam the 1st and 2nd encounters is another example where you could play its original classic, the HD remake and Fusion remake (it might be not great, but you get the point).

no need for this guy to do workshop code. There's a game called Overwatch. just flip the switch and turn it back on. No need to play Overwatch 2 and give this game "Overwatch 2" any kind of player count or user time played numbers to shareholders.
