"blizzard went the opposite way"

fella doesn't undersrand the difference between open source and closed networks
you are way to clueless to argue with you... I am truly sorry

valve: TRUST US THERES NOTHING SHADY WE DONT PROMOTE GAMBLING WE JUST SELL KEYS FOR BOXES THAT HAVE THE FUNCITON OF GAMBLING
pathetic
Dude, plz, get some awareness, i literally can't.
One company gives you a chance of a cosmetic for real money and prohibits third party from profiting and scamming non-knowers while still making profits by providing service within boundries
Another one asks money to help gain advangage and new mechanics while previously only asking money for the chance of a cosmetic.
I beg you, stop being so clueless, it's been a drag to try and have conversation to you
cs:go and tf2: all gameplay influencing content is available for free
i'll rephrase since you clearly aren't on the same level with the rest of people here:
you confuse the economy that exists OUTSIDE the videogame with the one that exists ONLY INSIDE one
And while Valve enforces the latter in their product
Blizzard enforces a completely different thing which is paying for a GAMEPLAY advantage.
Do you understand my point? If it's too hard, read what @festivneer wrote above, he simplified it
Though, seeing the hate for OW2 itself, the game as a whole isn't most of the problem, it existed because of the promise of a huge PvE mode which it was going to be a paid game for that itself, which in the end, they cancelled it, almost entirely (We have Invasion instead, cheap PvE knockoff), the community mostly hated it because of this change, I necessarily don't hate them, but I felt something worse than hate, disappointment, the sheer incompetence Blizzard been doing, sad really.
I'll be frank with you, Overwatch, is an okay or maybe a good game, but Blizzard, made the game bad for the state it is in now.
As for CS2, they didn't even promise anything, it was just out of the blue, there were playtesters, the majority liked the changes, I know some or few disliked it, but they eventually adapted, once people get comfortable with it, it just gets deployed eventually.
Valve has been pretty chill from what I've seen.
always has to be a petty competition
Reverse-engineering. When you make these inane arguments, at least get the terminology right.
Valve also never said CS GO will stay around, while the nice folks at Blizz promised on several ocassions Overwatch 1 and Overwatch 2 will be separate games and you can play them anytime.
