Shader pre-compilation would be nice. The framerate is jerky when encountering new stuff.

You might have to wait a minute the first time, just be patient. When I tried to launch the game with the default Proton settings, it gave me a crash prompt where you send the details to Blizzard. When I set it to Experimental, the game worked. The first boot takes longer.

After that, the game works. I played it for over an hour just fine.

Unfortunately, I get nothing at all. It tries to start something and then immediately aborts again :( and that already since yesterday

I got it working on lutris a few months ago using "caffe" wine runner, give it a try. I think it was called "overwatch2-caffe 7.12" or something like this, hope this helps.

Sure it could be that I have adjusted something in the kernel too much, but I can't imagine that somehow. All other games work as well.

Hmmm, download ProtonUp-Qt, install GE-Proton7-39 and try to run the game with it.

I have Ubuntu 23.04 with the latest 535 Nvidia drivers.

It boots under Proton Experimental just fine.

I have also been playing it daily on Lutris with proton GE since Overwatch 1.

Overwatch has always worked fine on Linux

I have Gentoo and it does not work. Overwatch 1 and the Overwatch 2 beta worked normally.
