I played it for around 10 hours and I think this game doesnt have something what Overwatch 1 had. SOUL.
It is just hollow version of good old overwatch which doesn't even deserve to be called 2. Rather Overwatch 1.5 or Overwatch reimagined.
Enough reasons for me, no "besides" needed really
Also because Blizzard had a streak of really bad decisions and clear incompetence. But yeah the game is still enjoyable when you get a good match, I'll still play it here and there until something better comes out.
Game coming to steam is proof that they are bleeding players like mad. They managed to kill a game twice. Man ow1 was bad balance wise and had many problems but it was much much better.
OW2 is just OW1 but with one less tank, horrible balance, horrible monetization and worse maps.
OW1 was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fine, until they pushed so hard a competitive scene NO ONE actually cared about. Forcing roles was only the beginning.
With OW2 they litterally KILLED the first game, making it unplayable for the people who BOUGHT IT (like me).
OW2 is just another braind dead "F2P" zoomer core game, that requires you to waste your LIFE just to get some random new hero, that is 100% useless compared to the OG characters. The balance is long gone, and there are some Character's Ults that are still broken (Rip McCree, or how the ♥♥♥♥ is called now).
This game can be fun for a few hours, but after that, it's gonna become so boring and frustrating you will come back and cry like everyone did in 2019 on the official's game forum (and got assblasted by Blizzard by doing so).
Because their concept of "balance" is just removing stuff from the game, instead of giving tools to deal with the issues,or at least do some changes. They got rid of the stuns, the 6* players on each team, everytime a new "tech" was discovered, was immediately patched out.
There are plenty of stuns in paladins, but they fixed that with a in game "shop" where you can buy CC resistance,so stuns where effective early game but become less oppresive mid to late game
