People who still play this game, why?

I know there is a thing called fun but how can you enjoy a product that is just fundamentally terrible in every way compared to other games out there such as Marvel Rivals and Deadlock? Theres only so much time on we have to spend on Earth and you are choosing to dedicate yours to playing this? lol xd... There is no meaningful progression as skins are locked behind paywalls, casual gamemodes are full of leavers and quitters, competitive is just filled with cheaters and throwers. What’s even the point anymore? It’s like Blizzard just slapped a fresh coat of paint on the first game, changed a couple of rules, and said, “Look! It’s new!” Spoiler: it’s not. It’s the same game but with less of the charm and excitement that made the original feel special. Remember when Overwatch was all about teamwork and fun? Now it’s more like, “Did you buy the battle pass? No? Well, enjoy looking like a default pleb while everyone else flexes their $20 skins.” And don’t even get me started on the grind. You wanna unlock a new skin? Hope you’re ready to either shell out some cash or sink an absurd number of hours into the game for… what? A slightly different-colored robot ninja? And what happened to the big promises, huh? PvE mode was supposed to be this epic thing—hero missions, leveling up, skill trees. Instead, we got a watered-down campaign that feels like a side quest from a game we actually care about. Blizzard hyped it up for years, then quietly went, “Yeah, we’re not doing most of that.” Cool. Thanks for wasting our time. Also, the matchmaking? Straight-up garbage sometimes. You either steamroll the other team or get absolutely obliterated. And if you’re in competitive, good luck climbing out of whatever rank the algorithm decided to throw you in. Oh, and if you’re not playing the current meta? Enjoy being flamed by your teammates who think they’re in the Overwatch League. And let’s talk vibes. Overwatch 2 just doesn’t feel as fun or fresh anymore. The charm of the old game? Gone. Now it’s this weird blend of corporate greed and half-hearted updates. It’s like the soul got sucked out, leaving behind a grindy, toxic mess where people care more about their stats than actually enjoying the game. So yeah, if you’re still having fun, good for you—truly. But for the rest of us? There’s just no point. Too many games out there that are actually delivering on their promises to waste time on Overwatch 2.
