If you look in the video it only shows recolors, sprays, charms that kind of stuff. It for sure wasn't just a coincidence. I doubt we'll go back to seeing epic and legendary skins for free. Junk items are still junk items even for free.

More accurately people have been like "make prices reasonable, even lootboxes were more reasonable than what you are charging now".

Nobody WANTED lootboxes back, they just preferred them over a single skin costing the same amount as the entirety of Elden Ring AND its DLC combined.
