i remember in overwatch 1 everyone being hyped for events speculating on skin ideas they'll do and people excited to try and get them but now a days the hype isn't there and its all overpriced shop bundles
they can dump all the slop and collabs they want but if blizzard dosent make strides for big improvements this game will be in a downward spiral, and by big i dont mean a new holiday map they need to get sometype of new story content ideally playable going.
Overwatch has many vectors to make story based content from and dozens of characters to use yet they refuse to innovate
just look at this video

A full campaign of pve made by the community
with soundtrack, new assets, fully operational enemies to fight, maps
in community servers you can change the player model, try other weapons, experience diverse maps, play custom gamemodes
whats blizzard do for thier community in this recent years?
they release a map made by the community
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/FygS4HpjlsY
Talantis
even if they dont reveal the names of the creators of that map in first place
then blizz open the doors to the community to create content like skins or even a tool to create animations like sfm or blender?
simple answer no
the only improvement considered in blizzard nowdays are recycling skins and selling them as new content like this cases
