downloading content every time i launch

it makes me download content every time i launch the game is it just me or is this happening to anybody else? (edit: i think its fixed now is it working for anyone else? (edit 2: i take it back it did not fix

I'm having this problem too, it's not actually updating, it's just validating for some reason? I saw another thread about this a few days ago but I can't find it now.

what worked for me is that i let the game download, launch the game and then clear the download cache on steam. After that, i checked to see if it worked or not.

From what Ive read from previous posts, this either works or doesnt work for certain people. Might be a good idea to install ow on battle net if this keeps happening.

After i wrote this and launched ow, the problem returned 10/10

I have the same thing, for several days now. Reinstallation does not help, it checks the client again every time it starts (supposedly loading data). Checking the data and clearing the cache in steam does not help. I am not going to play from battlenet, I deleted it with joy, as soon as overwatch appeared in steam and I do not plan to install the damned launcher again.
Developers, fix the game client in steam!! I have to make my friends wait for 5 minutes until you are allowed into the game..

battlenet is worse, thats why i moved to steam because of that and now its happening on steam but at least its the first time this is happening. the feeling of wanting to play but battlenet client downloads and validates the game and get stuck like forever unlike in steam you can see percentage progress... this is a common issue for COD as well thats why i uninstalled COD.
