Are Drive Points just broken right now?

Each time you win a match you’ll earn a Drive Score that is ten times the total Skill Rank percentage gained from that match. For example, if you earn 21% toward your next tier and division, then you’ll gain 210 Drive Points. Losing a match results in a having your Drive Score reduced five times the total Skill Rank percentage deduction, or half as much as a win gains. So, losing a match that costs you 19% in your Competitive Rank progress will deduct 95 Drive Points.

This is not true at all. I just lost 11% in my rank progress, but 150 drive points (literally all I had).

This is about Drive Points that unlock new Signatures this weekend, not Competitive Points that you spend on gold/jade weapons.

Even more annoying is that, unlike the percent gain/loss, it doesn't actually tell you the exact number of drive points change. You have to check the total before and after the match.

Yeah, they definitely don't work as per the text on the website. You should be losing less than you gain but that's not true. I lose 200 for a loss and gain around 200-250 for a win. Making it basically impossible to climb unless you get 3 wins in a row. How did they ♥♥♥♥ up something as simple as this... Have they also confirmed if the drive signature is permanent or just available for the weekend? (i.e. once the drive ends will the signature just disappear from my name?)

Read the explanation in the game. The drives signature remains on your player icon until the next one comes along and you have to earn it again. It's like a mini season for Competitive.

I didn't understand what they meant by prestiging. It sounds like there's multiple drives per drive period? The website was confusing.

This Season plus Season 13 and 14 each will have the Drive event weekend where you can complete the track till you get the elite signature at the end. Prestiging means that you will see Roman numerals next to your elite signature indicating how many of those Drives you completed. A completely new set of Drives in Season 15, 16 and 17 will have a new signature to earn.

I double confirmed, and yes, they're busted.
+12% rank progress, I gain 150 drives
-12% rank progress, I lose 150 drives.

I should not be losing the same amount I gain. Five times 12 is NOT 150.

I finished the drive in solo Que, I played for about three hours for two days and got it, my advice coming too late? Play until you feel yourself getting tilted, then stop, don’t push your luck.

The solo queue experience has been a chaos, way bigger than I've expected at those Gold and Platinum ranks.
I mean.. That's already higher than about ~50% of the playerbase in the region, so it's not like my expectations were being set that high.. But, that sure was a surprise.

I was either facing premades who were way too good, like way better than me.. And having about 1k hours more than me, or team mates who were refusing to switch, i. e. D.Va and Zarya onto each other, so I couldn't have really done anything in a loooot of cases.
I'm pretty sure, my global WR got affected and sent me to around ~53% from the ~57%, but my competitive win rate is gonna be at about.. ~30% or lower.

Seems like I need a better hardware.. Hitting those headshots with 80 FPS is just too difficult without a coffee. Yes, and some more practice, of course..
In the end, I made it to the first checkpoint of the red banner, so that's good enough.. Sure, I wanted that shiny banner at around ~1700 points, but to win more than two matches in a row? Woah, that sure takes some luck..
