it feels like shes kinda overbuffed
no skill needed hero fr

yeah shes been bad for a while but if they buff her too hard she will be a noob stomper again because new players still focus her when she has her defensives

Ult extremely situational and easily countered, other than that she's good.

The thought has long been in the back of my mind that Orisa would benefit from some kind of horse armor. (like in that other game)
Community Crafted reminds me how much I miss Halt. I wish they could have balanced it with her new moves instead of removing it entirely. The barrier was a justified loss.

Orisa doesn't seem like all that a good pick to me.. Could be just me, of course.

What's the indicator for Orisa using the defense? The change in colors backed up by the received VFX upon landing a hit or two..?

Not sure what vfx you mean but like her turning gold?
I meant her abilities because both Javelin Spin and Fortify allow her supports to heal back and undo most of her damage.

Yes; Her turning gold, gaining a bit of extra HP, and getting more resistant towards the knockbacks. So, besides that, there's no other indicator..?

how is her turning FULL GOLD not enough of an indicator.
plus she gets armor, which changes the hitsound (you hear a metallic thunk on every shot)
her animations are slightly different too (left arm held up) and she's slower

I haven't claimed for that not being enough.. But merely asked whether that's all that's there to it. As for noticing the arm in fist, that's not possible as I'm never close to her anyway as mostly as support role player. The speed debuff isn't all that noticeable.

thats all there is too it, her spear spin animation and her turning gold, she does raise her hand up too when she turns gold

i think the problem people have when dealing with her is not the visual indication of these abilities but keeping track of her defensive cooldowns, because resources you pump into damaging her down will just get undone by her support healing her while she uses them

she also has a lot of armor which reduces her damage from non-burst sources, there is a sfx indicator for shooting armor, your hitmarker sounds are lower than when shooting normal hp, it can be hard to notice but you can also see the armor hp visually on the health bars

she literally luffy gear 5 and most of thier players who main her have the mentality of LeafyisHere.
My opinion: Orisa is a very strong hero, especially against a certain pick. But she needs constant healing, because she has neither her own healing, nor the ability to escape. Incompetent players, as usual, simply do not know her capabilities and do not understand how to play her.

And, of course, she needs a personal medic, or even both. Without medics, she cannot play. She is not one of those heroes whose healing can be abandoned. But when she is healed, she is very difficult to kill.

For example:

It looks especially ridiculous when newbies try to take two snipers against Orisa as DPS. When she doesn't get critical hits (and reduced damage) while using one skill, and is completely protected from shots with another.

I also think Orisa was made specifically against Reinhard, since every skill she has is aimed against him. She interrupts Reinhard's dash and ult with a spear, is immune to them during another skill and ult, and simply pushes him away when he tries to fight hand-to-hand. The video about Reinhard, in which he got beat up by the Orisa prototype and killed his entire squad, corresponds to the game reality.

I played a little for Orisa and understood the main thing - you need to use the spear spin while running from respawn, because it speeds up forward movement, and also constantly throw a spear at enemies. :-) Then the medics see that you are an advanced player and start to constantly heal you, and this is the main thing for Orisa :-) But if Orisa just walks sadly and does not use skills, the medics can give up on her and then she will quickly die.

You can also use skills at the preparation stage so that the medics can see that you know how to press buttons :-)

Perfect, that's all I really needed to know.. Still making me convinced that I can always do a better job as D.Va and Reinhardt. Oh, and J.Q., of course.
Zarya is the biggest problem for me, same for Reinhardt who's well supported by the support players.. If necessary, I get to Reinhardt and more or less provide shielding to the team with some rushes to attempt to break through by taking enemies and catching them off-guard with charges in-between.
The same for J.Q., if I can ensure that their DPS don't keep getting too much healing for me to keep up..
