I hadn't locked FPS, so the hardware was pushed for more and more, until it overheated and shut the software down mid-game. The solution was to limit the FPS, so the hardware doesn't push itself that hard and the temperature can be regulated well enough.
What you're describing sounds like a software related issue, so I'd suggest trying to cap your FPS.. Experiment with it a little, see how it works.

You can still chat in discord. but this being used causes that. Just IQ 5000 problems with discord failing to test their stuff out before releasing it.
