The only reason I remember was showing some people's names as [unknown] and that was fixed months ago

I switched to steam the moment they released it and its very smooth. If you already run steam daily on your computer, you dont need to have battlenet app at all after swapping to steam, which is another w for me.

The main problem is if you buy stuff on Steam, some people experience delays before you get what you bought, and that makes some people irrationally angry. However depending on where you live, it might actually give you a pretty solid discount due to regional pricing.

Steam has packages for coins and also packages every season for the new season pass. Those may be cheaper depending on what region you're in.

How many coins it costs for items does not change.

I dont buy the coins anyway, so it should be the same as battlenet version then?

Yep. If you don't use the shop to buy fancy skins or the upgraded battlepasses, then there's no difference.

They were fine for me when I transferred over. However, one patch recently about a month or two ago reset all my settings which was annoying af. Not sure if it was Steam related though.

The steam version is the only one where a forum is provided where people can critique the game and the developer for certain things that happened(or didn't).

I've been using nothing but Microsoft rewards points since Overwatch 2 came out.

The only thing you can't get with them is stuff like pink Mercy that can't be bought with Overwatch coins or credits
