* It's not a signature Megatron, if you ask me. But, Megatron does often where a faceguard, not unlike Optimus.

* The Optimus and Bumblebee skins both have armor components which suggest what objects they might transform into. The Megatron and Arcee skins don't have any clear indications into what they might transform.

* While it's nice to see the Decepticon emblem on the Megatron skin, this skin, itself, at a glance, does not tell me that it is Megatron. I only see that I'm looking at a Decepticon character, in general. Given the fact that the ball inside the staff also contains a Decepticon emblem, this might be the only indication that might persuade me that I'm looking at a Megatron rendition, as Megatron was known to have wielded swords and other melee weapons. He's even had a staff once or twice. But, he generally prefers ranged weaponry when engaging in actual combat.

Overall, I don't share the hate about these skins. But, I do agree that the Megatron skin doesn't give me the impression that I'm looking at Megatron. At least, not initially. It takes some hard looking for me to really see it. Whereas, the Arcee, Bumblebee, and Optimus skins do at least "look" like their respective characters at a glance.

Where suitability is concerned, I can see Reinhardt being given the Optimus skin. It does look like it matches his personality type pretty well, and his giant figure is a great baseline for the design.

Bastion being given the Bumblebee skin makes total sense. Both of these characters don't have normal speech patterns, and they're often hard to understand. And, as far as personality is concerned, they are both generally peace-loving characters. Furthermore, Bastion's artillery mode being remodeled as a car is both perfect and bloody adorable, imo.

Where Arcee and Illari are concerned, I can certainly see the two characters and their similarities. They do appear to have generally similar weapons, though Illari seems to be a little more reserved than Arcee's personality. That said, they are still both relatively quiet types. Additionally, I think it's quite a nice idea to give the skin to Illari, as she needs more skins to choose from, in general.

Unlike Bumblebee and Optimus, the Arcee skin isn't apparent as to what object this Transformer would in fact transform into.

And, just like Arcee, Megatron's humanoid form doesn't show any obvious signs of what object he transforms into. But, we can likely surmise that it's some military vehicle, given the color theme of his armor.

Where Megatron's personality is concerned, I think pairing his skin with Ramattra was a generally good idea. The execution of the skin does feel short of hitting the mark. It isn't the design I would have gone with. But, where interpretation is concerned, it is reasonable and it does make sense.

Overall, there's 3 Autobots and only 1 Decepticon skin. I would like to have seen more Decepticons, but I will just assume that the devs were working with a tight schedule and could only complete no more than 4 models. (If they have more skins on the way, I would be more than happy to add them to my collection.) It would not surprise me if they had other designs planned, but could not get them "rolled out" in time for the release date.

Side note: I do like the fact that the Megatron skin is using seatbelts for Ramattra's ... "hair?" rather than his usual cabling. (What would you even call that part for a robot?)

i thought the same thing. granted there is lore behind the event, but im sure no one really cares, nor would care. i would love to see someone like soundwave in here too. the skins themselves are less the transformers characters themselves, and moreso mixes of both characters. so there is an oppurtunity for some really neat designs. i personally picked up the pack, but i can see why a lot are disappointed. i just personally like them a lot, i guess
