just play tf2, there's no bots now bc valve started actually getting off their asses and is regaining their ban hammer powers. also ow2 is now getting botted.

Also not sure if you had been offline when they sent in the ban and or if you had been streaming it, since some times that might be able to help you look back at things and or send in proof you did nothing wrong.

Hopefully you manage to get your account back, tho my self I use to play games without streaming, tho seeing people are getting banned left and right and support now wants proof in video form for the most part, I try to not risk having issues since most people will not trust you when you have been false banned.

I've friends have their accounts permanently banned suddenly without warning or being temporary banned before.
this is frightening cause I don't know if my account will be safe or not, and the support system is just spamming the same message (you are still banned, refers to ELUA) type of message over and over.
this isn't fair and really stressful, I am worried for my close friend health,
I hope everyone else get their account problems solved, hang in there.

this is why I never spend money on poo like skins. I bought the base game when it was OW and I bought 1 or 2 of the characters- that was it. Only use in game currency.

And now that msft owns blizzard good luck getting any response. Not that blizzard itself would respond but basically there is no chance now. Msft will leave this game in teh trash where it belongs.

from what I'm aware, the report system is automatic. It doesn't really matter what you say, as long you are reported certain amount of times you will be punished.

I've read it goes 2 week mute > 2 week ban > 1 month ban > permanent ban.

I myself got the 2 week ban after the mute and tried making a ticket, only to also get a generic bot response that doesn't elaborate why I was punished.

if you're in EU, you could try requesting a complete data request and they will have to comply and provide it to you. I've read that it should contain punishment information for your account too, so you should be able to see what your account was punished for.

I agree with you as well, i don't endorse spending money on free to play games. I myself had the game since the preorder days of ow1. Where you can get anything with lootboxes. I mostly only bought skins for 2 characters i mainly use, and i don't normally play dps. If they are accusing me of cheating or hacking there is no way that i am doing that, because i only use mercy or moira, and sometimes ana, and other supports. My rank isn't even high, and i have sent them a video of my gameplay which is tied to my twitch channel as well. The only response i get from them is that the matter is upheld and they will not review any future matters.

I have requested my account data, and i found that the ban i had is a "generic account ban" which by my research from reading stuff on reddit, and their ow forum i found out that when you receive a generic account ban that just means that their bot system banned you. there is no reason for the ban. so you can only be banned by mass reports, or if you're using an app that is not white listed by their company. I never used any suspicious apps. i have only used "custom cursor" which has NOTHING to do with the game, or alters the gameplay, or anything at all.

This is the part that makes me confused. If i actually did something wrong i would have a 2 week ban or at most a month ban, but i wake up from sleep and i am perma banned. I can't even ask them to know what was the reason for the ban.

1. at first they told me it's a gameplay/behavior ban < which makes no sense, and the message seemeed automated.
2. they told me that i used some sort of program to hack or cheat? they refuse to tell me what program it is, and i showed all the list of programs that i have been using too. mind you there is people in the past that have been banned for using NVIDIA overlays or RIVATUNER or HYPERX software which is for headsets/mics/keyboards. their anticheat system is no way built like RIOT VANGUARD. i have seen threads where people long ago were banned due to a prior update to RIOT VANGUARD, and they have to white list those programs everytime.

the only programs i have used prior to my ban is

1. custom cursor < which has nothing to do with video games, or altering or changing gameplay.
2. RIOT VANGUARD.

i didnt use any other apps, and to wake up and find myself banned without an EMAIL stating anything just makes me feel frustrated, and confused all at once.

Like you said anyone who is playing this game is not safe from their AI reporting system.

for exmaple:
you play too good > enemy team gets angry and reports you
you play too bad > your team gets angry and reports you
you lose connection or dc > you get reported nontheless.

thesee reports stack up time to time, and then their bot just decided that oh you have been banned for hacking or whatever, it entirely depends on what people reported you for, and when they report you they dont even need to type any details because no GM is going through that considering there is 100MILLION people playing their game.

I have also tried to reach out for big content creators that focus on Overwatch but sadly no response thus far, however i refuse to give up because i have not done anything wrong.

reading this thread and many other sources I have read.
I been thinking of what msft & blizzard want, I think its to get rid of the game, cause its bad for them in other words not enough profit from it, maybe.

think of it, they are capable to fix what need fixing and change everything to put out a better game than what it is, but no they're not doing that and wont do it, yes they are adding some content as characters, events and skins, though these are small compared to the "forgotten promise" of a full story mode like OW2 was promised to be a story mode, they have always did a half effort work on everything.

what I think they wanna do is not to turn off the switch by themselves and have a headache dealing with what would come out of that afterward, but they wanna let it run on battery and die by itself.
this is just me talking too much cause I feel bad.
