Blizzard won't give an ounce of a hint on why I was banned

Recently had been grinding the new hero Venture really hard because I had a lot of fun with the hero. Didn't get but maybe a few hours in comp last week, had a great streak going before Venture came out for a trial so I was having a decent time.

I mostly played quick play for the entire time Venture was out and suddenly I get banned for what seems to be ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I keep hearing reports of bans on the community Discord specifically about misgendering Venture in which I was only saying "she" in game because saying "they" in every single sentence is extremely unnatural. I really hope that's not why I was banned because if so oh boy

Yes I've made a ticket and as expected I've gotten the usual robotic response just pointing to the code of conduct. I guess those layoffs really hit the support team hard. The blizzard support I grew up with doesn't exist anymore.

Take your guesses or flame me for why you believe I deserve a ban
On a side not, this is my first ever ban/suspension (whatever they wanna call it) ever.

I doubt every blizzard employee is ultra woke and closed to freedom of expression, but if you say you said nothing more than she to a fictional hero and got banned apparently for that, just wow..

By my experience it may have happened because of that, because i got blocked for example in a know yet unnoficial community twitter account just for defending a guy, and saying that they don't have the right to tell others how to speak, in other words.

So if people so obtuse like this are infiltrated in their company, you can expect absurd things like this to happen. I do hope this isn't your case otherwise, we all should stop playing and supporting blizzard if things like this are really happening on official matters.

Playing games from this company typically means zero transparency and instead of just telling you what you did so you correct your behavior. they want you to guess what is behind door #2. But I can at least tell you there are a handful of reasons.

1 ) if you are playing Venture, and you are really good with the character, if you are obliterating players, chances are it is rage-reporting.

2 ) If you are spamming the ping features or dumb things like "group up with me", attack the objective and junk like that. Absolutely players are going to report you for being annoying.

3 ) If you seam to always know where someone is, despite you were shown player pings. People report it as "wall hacking" which is why the feature just needs to be flatout removed.

4 ) If you are hyperfocusing a player in a non-competitive play mode the person is going to report you for griefing them. This is typically people swapping to the same hero that is played by someone else on the opposite team and constantly fighting them. its still seen as a disruption.

Eitherway, they need to just tell people what they did, penalize them with a warning, and then suspend people from the modes after a directive warning.

i have 1k+ hours went from bronze to masters no bans, using vc the whole time, you also don't get banned for chat stuff you get silenced, if you get banned it's because your a repeat offender lol

blizzard doesn't run any official overwatch discord, pretty sure you won't get banned for calling venture a she but if you get into an argument over pronouns in game you prob will

also you should be silenced for chat stuff not banned

It doesn't really matter what he said as long as he annoyed ppl. No one reads the reports they're all based on volume and frequency, this has been confirmed multiple times. After learning this and having it happen to my account where I kept getting reported for being annoying whether because I play aggro with Dva and chase a mercy around till she dies or joke around in chat about random things I now just report literally anyone who annoys me for anything.

And I'm very sure a lot of the community is like me, the game is a toxic cesspool. I mean even streamers do it in front of everyone they'll start reporting players for playing bad or saying things they didn't like in chat. There's literally zero punishment for spamming false reports because there's no way to tell what's a false report and what isn't at the moment.

I was literally spawn killing teams a lot of the time
Also update on ticket, the robotic response is all I've gotten even with another 2 more responses, still nothing.

go play something else, ive had friends getting banned for petty things like in a rein duel calling the enemy rein "coward" in all chat, that was enough to warrant him a ban.

rage-reporting is a thing, and i'm 99% sure that blizzard's ban system is completely automated.

"tell overwatch is dead and that old blizzard died with it".

I dont know why this comment gets clowns. Its literally what they do, they stated that when the new defense matrix was a topic. This commentor is absolutely right.
People who say they got banned for misgendering are just ragebaiting clowns anyway, they dont know, you dont know and you should not give a ♥♥♥♥ about what some idiots on some discord say is "apparently" maybe practice.

you can get banned for literally anything that you say on this game, even just "gg" can apparently get you banned

Blizzard does not run any official Discord servers or moderate any servers. I don't see how the is relevant to your ban.

You dont get a full ban from beeing toxic unless you are repeat offender, you get silenced (you can't type in when silenced).

Of course there are exceptions to that like if a gm feels you crossed the line too much but if talk to support and act reasonable they will respond to you.

I'm aware they don't run an official Discord, you're selected quote is just speculation. Does not mean I'm saying that's the reason why.
I'm awaiting my 3rd response from Blizzard that hopefully isn't another copy paste response. I was respectful in my ticket and I just get robotic responses back.

ahaha I'm in exactly the same situation as you, it's a terrible blizzard. I always see people trying to find excuses regarding our bans which we explain in detail only according to and legitimate LoL as long as you do not give real and exact details concerning a sanction I find this abusive on the part of the "masters of the game "And regarding the support towards their communities, it's even worse to have no feedback except that of the famous "bot" message

This is why you don't use chat, and just silently report anyone who says things you don't like..

Blizzard just blindly hands our punishments based solely on the volume of reports made against you, it doesnt matter what you said, only that someone reported it..

Unfortunately the only solution to this problem, is to contribute to it..
