Mercy's Design is Terrible.
Title, I honestly don't know where to start with her, no one else had as much debated controversy as Mercy until they introduced Sombra going invisible, but at least she can't completely turn the tables as frequently as Mercy.

She has the lowest skill floor and ceiling I've ever seen in an FPS shooter. Actually she requires no skill at all. Her gameplay is designed purely on their teamates skill and even they won't have much considering she's always hiding behind a tank with high health and DPS, so it's pretty much safe anyway.

Her gameplay is also just boring. I honestly don't see why people like to play her unless they just like seeing "You Win!" on their freaking screen, not to mention she's insanely popular in pick rates. It's just absurd, this is easily the worst designed character in all of shooting game history, people who disagree probably just got crutched by a Mercy.

Like I said, the game hasn't gone the direction they announced which warrants hate and frustration because the point of its new start was to have PvE content thats been scrapped but at least it actually gets updated unlike TF2. As for Mercy, she isn't the only character receiving 20$ skins and the gooner content for any fictional character in general is funny in a sad way. Mercy isn't meant to be a DPS support, the best thing that she can do is take picks on low health enemies but other than that there is no way to change Mercy without making her extremely frustrating to verse but at least she doesn't have old res. Mercy has been one of the worst tier supports for a long while now, even if she was changed to be better people will still complain like they already do with just about any hero lmao

Anyway, TL;DR if you hate Overwatch then be more productive with your time and play something else instead of sitting in forums obsessing about it and comparing a dead game to a bad game.
TF2 still gets updates and support. just not giant large ones like we used to have. we just havent had a major update (I.E. adding new weapons, balance changes, and bug fixes) in a few years bc we only have 1 dev. give Eric and his potted plant a break, they're working tirelessly unlike blizzard who is probably too busy beating their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ to crank out quality content so they put out quick shovelware every so often to make up for lost content, knowing you shills will eat it up.

I'm pretty sure TF2 has more than 1 developer, either way that game has been neglected for a long time and is still pretty much a dead game. those are not cheats thats how tf2's hitbox work when dealing with projectiles, even valve uses a giant collision box for projectiles, it's just game design, even going back to quake no arena shooter uses 100% model accurate hitboxes

you really only find model accurate hitboxes in tac shooters but those games are not projectile focused

mercy's blaster has always had a big hitbox, they made it slightly bigger, doubt anybody is complaining about dying to mercy's blaster, it only does 20 damage, you need to get hit 12 times if you are at range you can just dodge the slow moving projectiles

-They give you a big arsenal to defend yourself and frag other enemies in the lobbies (Grenade Launcher, Railgun, RL, Thunderbolt, one barrel shotgun, etc etc also grapple too)
Also the main abilities there is the function of the weapons and the different things to do also the perks can make you powerful but at the same time punishes you for not using in the right way the perks

°Pentagram of protection gives your invencibilty for 30 seconds
°Haste make your movement go more faster but gives not more than that
°other perks and powerups can reward you and punish you too

These are videos of people cheating, the reason they can hit headshots that are 5 spaces off is a combination of hitbox size and latency, the cheating software is not human. Someone rage hacking in tf2 will also look this way.

If you want tight hitboxes, you won't find them in games inspired by arena shooters. The hitboxes in these games are intentionally larger to accommodate player movement and latency.

The hitboxes in Quake are also like this, but it doesn't matter because everyone is zooming around the map at high speeds. For Quake Champions, they initially experimented with model-accurate hitboxes but switched to using several large capsules around the limbs of the characters, similar to Overwatch. Quakelive has essentially just one large capsule that doesn't account for gaps in the character model. In quake 3 it was a giant box around the character and it was that way in quakelive before they changed it.

Also I don't know what you are saying about needing to use an ult to counter torbs ult, you can just not step on it, all of the ults have counter play, you have to track what abilities can shutdown your ult or make sure that hero is out of the fight.
