The game is actually fun if you ignore the community just in general and only respond to game information/callouts etc, as for my monetization i couldn't care less about it, wasn't gonna spend a dime on OW2 (Nor should anyone for that matter) and yes i played OW1 aswell but skins doesn't do anything other than looking pretty and epic, (worthless as it's)

Do i agree with the decisions that has been made to OW2? - absolutely not
however i do enjoy the 5v5 format instead of double tank,

Hearing the screams of agony and frustration of my "Not Toxic/trash" teammates according to blizzard for playing pistol only mercy in open role brings me joy and competes my day
PS. its a free game don't spend on it unless you really feel the need to just lose in a cool skin 50/50 working as intended

Best part is no matter how much they scream cry and report you, you won't ever get punished, as your not breaking any rules...

As long as your ATTEMPTING to contribute, even if in the absolute worst way possible, your not guilty of sabotage by blizzard definition..

My personal favorite is when I realize I'm hard carrying and just stop trying half way through.. just to watch my idiot teammates fight amongst themselves over the loss. They never look at Me because big scoreboard numbers...

The MMR system if fixed. Doesnt matter if they quit and take a break. The algorithm says what you will experience by matching you with people that win too much in a row or toxic players having a losing streak. Its literally documented that you can google up if you thinks its BS. People still play just like people still play their other titles that are old af and literally dead(starcraft, heroes of the storm, ect) They have some weird symbiotic relationship with it because they feel like its a part of their life.

I have a childhood friend addicted to WoW to this day and their reason for not quitting(Ive been playing soo long and spend so much of my life on it, I feel bad just leaving it) He seriously is treating it like its his S.O. Its Fhuking weirdo energy.

They pretty much won't change the character designs which I was talking about. Characters look extremely Sweet Baby woke and boring and it has only one sexy girl. OW is unironically superior to that. I say this as I grew up with TF2 and I started playing OW2 a few months ago.

There's a rumor going around that the entire project was essentially a honey trap inside valve to absorb people of that ideology and mindset.

overwatch 2 is, still, an objectively good game
it has massive issues, it's still super unbalanced, tank is still a mess, they overpromised and delivered on nothing, and the monitization since they dropped buy to play has been awful
BUT
there's still nothing quite like it and it's still fun to play

with better management, i seriously think overwatch 2 could be bigger than fortnite, i mean that unironically
