However, the way this thread is worded is too contradictory. That was my point, still haven't received a reply to that.
That said.. The best option is to go out with both skins at the same time.. At which point, gatekeeping it is.. Amongst the questionable options for people to go with, no?
It makes no sense to do that, at least.
Honestly?
- Generally speaking - It's not.
- Speaking from the perspective of an individual - Maybe no, but presumably is.
There may be some people buying it for the skins but the argument can be said for anyone that has donated to get the charitable items instead of just donating at any other time. The charity is always there for people to donate to after all.
It's normal to feel mad about it but at the same time it's better to be grateful and happy that Blizzard is collaborating again to honour and raise awareness to a very important cause. No one should be upset or insulting others because of money going to a worthwhile charity.
I would love for them to do more charities and I'm open to them doing different kinds of charities and making skins for different heroes. At the same time though it has to be demanded for by a lot more people to achieve that.
There was nothing ever said about Pink Mercy being exclusive, it was a limited-time charity and was never stated to be a one time thing. People like you jumped to that conclusion because of them not doing it for 6 years. On top of that, charitable items should NEVER be exclusive to begin with. To me it just seems like you're upset that it was brought back even if it was for a good cause which is stupid. No one should be gatekeeping skins.
Making charitable items FOMO completely defeats the purpose of raising even more money considering the initial charity event raised $12.7 million and we'll definitely be raising the stakes even higher with how beloved the charity and charitable items are with their return. Everyone should donate to a good cause AND enjoy sentimental content, charities should never be one time only. Why should it be? There isn't any valid reason for it other than to use the charitable items as "bragging rights" and for a black market with accounts selling Pink Mercy content for thousands because they are exploiting charity items. Them returning the charity does not mean it lost its communal value, it means they respect and love the charity enough to bring it back because of how valued and special it is.
2. Skin being re-release is effecting you in meaning, feeling, entitlement, selfish & status.
3. You care enough to post. admit you are angry.
4. mention you care for the foundation (once), you being OG and deserve some kinda respect?
Look I use to work as auto tech, I spent my weekends working with people in poverty to get there cars in driving condition, so they can go to work, get back on there feet. I spend Thousand of dollars of my own money to help fund parts for there car and 100's of hr in free labor. Was there ever a T-shirt, cookies, or even pin given to me? nothing just a "thank you"
You are missing the Point. Good Day.
