When are they fixing Legacy Comp Points?

Unbelievable fumble on behalf of the people running the game, everyone should receive them back as regular comp points

whats actually going on. just came back to the game and have 2700 "legacy points" and i have 600 current points. when and how can i use them?

Well they split them up because they don't want hoarders to instantly buy the new yearly weapon skins. Jade is for 2024 and it will only be purchasable with current comp points. All points we had before 2024 are legacy and can be spent on golden weapons now and forever.
When 2025 comes, all comp points you currently own will be made legacy again and are for golden weapons only. 2025 Points will be spendable in some new weapon skin they put in the game

ooh thats annoying. just started to give the game a go after overwatch 1 was purged. like the game but i hate lots of the new features that just seem to be in place to stop you from customising your characters

Recently in May though you can use the new points you can buy golden weapons with them. And you should be able to use the legacy points for Jade once next year gets around.

Unfortunately it seems they realised how silly this was and went back on it as you can currently only buy gold weapons for normal red Comp Points and Legacy ones are "No longer earnable"

??? no when the new comp skin comes out im sure they will turn everyones current comp points ones into legacy ones and you will only be able to buy jade/gold with legacy and you will need to earn new comp points for the new skin

100% if they never put this in place old ow players like me could buy almost every jade weapon skin on release
